PLEASE ENSURE YOUR BUNNIES ARE KEPT SAFE IN THE HEAT!!!
THE HEAT IS A FAST KILLER!
**WARNING** (UPDATE AUGUST 2017 - MAY 2019) ALL OF MY ADULT BUNNIES HAVE BEEN VACCINATED..
THIS VIRUS IS STILL VERY MUCH AROUND - PLEASE DO NOT DELAY GETTING YOUR RABBIT VACCINATED!!
RABBITS CAN BE VACCINATED FROM 10 WEEKS OF AGE!! PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL VET!!
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE IS NOW 2 STRAINS OF THE VHD VIRUS.. MOST BUNNIES WILL HAVE BEEN VACCINATED AGAINST JUST ONE STRAIN WHICH IS IN THE COMBINED VACCINE WITH THE MYXOMATOSIS BUT IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS NOT ENOUGH.. YOUR BUNNY STARTS TO LOSE THEIR IMMUNITY FROM THEIR MOTHER FROM THE MOMENT THEY ARE TAKEN AWAY AND MEANS THAT THEY ARE AT HIGH RISK OF CATCHING THIS VIRUS.. PLEASE MAKE ENQUIRIES AT YOUR VET IN ORDER TO PROTECT YOUR BUNNY.. IT TAKES A WEEK FOR THE VACCINE TO TAKE FULL EFFECT..
PLEASE THINK TWICE ABOUT BUYING SECOND HAND HUTCHES AND PET CARRIERS UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHERE IT HAS COME FROM AND WHO LIVED IN IT PREVIOUSLY..
THIS VIRUS IS EASILY SPREAD AND CAN BE BROUGHT TO YOUR RABBIT ON SHOES, CLOTHES AND EVEN HAY.. THE VIRUS LIVES UP TO 200 DAYS AND THE COLD WHETHER DOES NOT KILL THE VIRUS..
WHETHER YOUR BUNNY LIVES INDOORS OR OUTDOORS THEY ARE NOT SAFE UNLESS VACCINATED..

ABOUT ME:
My name is Emma..
I am a Practice Manager working in 2 different practices within the Milton Keynes and Aylesbury area and work along side different specialists. I have done this now for 25 years!
My husband is a Technical Manager working for a chemical company based in Hemel Hempstead..
Thomas, 24 my eldest son is working within a very well known chain of retailers in head office..
Jessica, 22 my daughter has just completed her GCSEs and is going to college with the view of becoming a Midwife..
Nicholas,17 my youngest son is a very good and keen football player and at the moment wants to be a football player!
MY MOMENT OF FAME:
I was approached and interviewed by Roberto Perrone from 3 Counties Radio on 4/02/15 as they were very interested to hear my views on having 2 rabbits for company! My moment of fame..very exciting!!
I am a hobbyist breeder of these wonderful little creatures. Our rabbits that we use for breeding are our family pets and it is purely for enjoyment that we do it. My rabbits have completely taken over my garden and I have a natural love for rabbits and spend all my spare time looking after them!! I have a few golden oldies too!!
All my girls and my boys will stay with me for their entire lives and when they have finishing breeding they will be paired so they can live out their lives with a companion..
It is not a business and the money made just helps maintain and feed them.
I have had guinea pigs and rabbits since I was a child. I have started breeding rabbits just on a small scale with my daughter Jessica 20 and my son Nicholas 16 who equally enjoy them.
I have a few different breeds including cross breeds but I only breed from my mini lops and netherland dwarf rabbits..
I am based in Leighton Buzzard Bedfordshire United Kingdom.
Mini Lops are one of the smallest lop breed of rabbit but are not the smallest breed of rabbit.. Do not think that because they are called 'MINI' that they will literally sit in the palm of your hand when fully grown..
I would consider this breed to be a small/medium sized rabbit with weight ranging between 3.5lb - 6.5lb. This is a guide as all bunnies can be different just like us humans!
The average life span of these bunnies is approximately 8 years however I have had some people tell me that theirs has lived a lot longer. Please think about this before taking on any bunny..
It is a sad but very well known fact that if a bunny is bought for a child that at some point the child will/may lose interest.. (Not in all cases though)
Please buy a bunny to become a family pet ,and all family members to be involved in the everyday care of your precious bunny.. Older bunnies are much harder to rehome and rescues are over run with unwanted pets as it is.. PLEASE DON'T ADD TO THIS..
Mini Lop/Netherland Dwarf Rabbits
£20 non returnable deposit will be required for each bunny reserved.
I charge £70 per bunny (unless otherwise stated)
I do not discount for more than one bunny. Any money received is not profit and goes straight back into my lovely bunnies.
My bunnies are usually ready to be reserved when they are 4-5 weeks old..
I update my website as often as I can with new info so please keep checking..
All my rabbits can leave when they are 8 weeks old and no sooner. (NEVER BUY ANY BUNNY UNDER 8 WEEKS OLD)
I will only sell to people who are above 18 years old unless accompanied by an adult and I reserve to right to refuse a sale if I feel its in my rabbits best interest.
PET HOMES ONLY
I DO NOT ALLOW ANY OF MY BUNNIES TO BE COURIERED!
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO MEET THE RABBIT FIRST..
I like to ask questions to new potential owners as I do care very much where my rabbits go and likewise I expect you to ask me questions also.
Rabbits are naturally social animals and like to live in pairs or small groups. However I will sell a single bunny if it is given plenty of attention and time.
I personally think the best way to have two rabbits is to have a male and a female and have at least the male neutered but preferably both.
If you decide to have one bunny but may want another bunny in the future I have learnt from my own experience that this can easily be done. If you have got your current bunny neutered and they are introduced in the right way you may be able to introduce the opposite sex to your bunny..
Please ask me about this further if you would like to do this. I believe that rabbits should be given the chance of a companion..
Or two female rabbits (they should be sisters or both very young and introduced to the hutch at the same time) and probably have them both neutered about 5 -6 months old. PLEASE ASSUME YOU WILL HAVE TO GET THEM NEUTERED WHEN YOU TAKE THEM ON. SOME PEOPLE ARE LUCKY ENOUGH NOT TO NEED THIS HOWEVER I HAVE ALWAYS DONE THIS WITH MINE..
I think two males can be risky together even if both neutered - I NEVER SELL 2 BOYS TO LIVE TOGETHER
The info above is based on my own personal experiences with rabbits as I have had rabbits as pets for many years..
Whilst I am reasonably sure what sex your bunny is at 8 weeks old I cannot give 100%
All my bunnies will leave with a care sheet and some changeover food.
Because we don't have loads of baby rabbits at one time they will be very well handled and used to being cuddled and have the best possible start in life.
What I have done previously for bunnies that have been reserved I take regular pictures of them so you can see their development and keep for your own records.
Please bring a suitable box or carrier when collecting - Bunnies will not be allowed to leave me without one..
If you are unable to keep your bunny you have had from me I would be very keen for you to contact me..
Occasionally I am able to take them back or help you rehome them..
Bunnies that leave me will have a 48 hour health guarantee from time of collection - You will be given a full refund for your bunny if anything should happen to them within this time (depending on the cause of the problem) This will not include any vets fees incurred..
